A.G. Clark, Esq., The Plessey Co.Ltd.

Will you please get in touch with this owner and deal with a complaint of steering wobbles which has been brought to the special notice of Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}

The car was dealt with here in the Repair Dept. for this and other troubles on the 16th December 1937.

The cross steering tubes were modified, the split pads & G.85490 springs being fitted, and the poundage set at 3 1/2-4 lbs.

The job card states that it was not possible to balance the wheels as the inner tubes contained a liquid for preventing punctures. This may have some bearing on the trouble, but it is more probable that the poundage has already fallen on the cross steering tube joints.

There was no report as to whether there was slack in the steering box, which could also contribute to this trouble.

We understand from those who have dealt with this owner that he is not of an altogether docile disposition, and he should be approached accordingly.
