Further to the above memo. in connection with the 10,000 miles test of 27-EX, we send you herewith a more detailed specification of various of the items.

(1) Wider front brake drums and steel shoes to GL. {G. Linnett} 630. BY {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} /TWD. {T. W. D???Aeith} 1/E.2.3.33.

(2) Increased front braking by fitting a plate lever in the front brake equaliser to Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 693.

(3) Gearbox with silent 2nd. speed to N.sch.3631. Change speed mechanism to RR.sch.237. Reverse catch Ex.3727

(4) Flywheel and clutch to N.sch.3551 with needle bearing operation to Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 937. Clutch linings of RAD.13 material.

(5) Crankshaft spring drive to Lec.3104 with modifications to RHC {R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} /WSC. {W. S. Cassel} 17/KT.14.9.32. The driving and damping loads to be 31 lbs. and 18 + 2 lbs. respectively.

(6) Exhaust valves and guides to Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Gry. {Shadwell Grylls} 4/KT.6.3.33. If the cylinder head off 19-EX is fitted complete, this will be correct for compression ratio also.

(7) 8.000 dia. fabric coupling to RR.Sch.255.

(8) Clutch pedals as are now standard on 0.2 series. This will necessitate new floorboards to accomodate the raised position of the clutch pedal.
