X967 Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} -------------- ROY{Sir Henry Royce}3/MG19.3.26 -------------- Lubricants Referring to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG17.3.26, as you are aware, we enjoy preferential terms from Messrs Price covering our requirements under this heading, and our sales of same, which are increasing steadily to-day, are a very profitable side of our business. If, as I gather, you will shortly be recommending standardisation of an alternative Oil to Price's, would you please let me have details so that we can sound the suppliers in question as to what special terms they are prepared to grant us, should such alternative be agreed. As far as the difficulty with Messrs. Price disclosing their specification is concerned, could you not get over your trouble by taking sealed samples of their oil. We could then send a duplicate of such sealed sample to them in London, with the proviso that if, in future, we find supplies do not conform in reason to such sealed sample, we should have the right to reject same.
