X4117 S/W. (Copy to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}). ( " " EF). ( " " SEC). Cx{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}9/W/6.5.1929. Chassis No. 122.KR. - Haywood. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rml/LG4.5.29. It is no good trying to get the customer to accept the chassis with standard S.S. tube springs. We must give him something at least as effective in the direction that he wants, as those which he tried on the test chassis which secured his order. He asks for even more activity, or absence of 'sponginess' in the steering than those special springs provided. Mr. Haywood has the right of testing his chassis - 122.KR. - before acceptance, and turning it down if it does not meet with approval. With this information you will doubtless know what to do.
