Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale}4/MH.{M. Huckerby}25.1.39. SHOCK DAMPER PISTONS - B.V. Will you please make 12 pistons and valves to the drawings FB.4608/9. The difference between these and previous pistons is that the piston is hard. The hardening can be carried out in a cyanide bath, to reduce distortion. It may in future be necessary to make all pistons and valves hard, as the valve seats have been pitting, probably due to picking up. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F.
