G.W. Hancock, Esq., Hotel de France, Chateauroux, Indre, FRANCE. X26 a After a burst of speed on the Bentley and the 20/25, are you getting any oil going to the timing gears and valve gear ? We should imagine that all of it goes through the bearings. Sr. reported that after 2 laps at Monthlery the oil pressure came out at about 10 lbs. on his new 4 1/4 litre car. Briefly, I am thinking that we must have a larger oil pump and that we ought to have the proper two-stage relief valve scheme that we had with the silent tappets to ensure that we get oil to the valve gear to supply the timing gears when the engine is running hot.
