Huckerby}18.2.38. RE 6.B.IV COACHWORK. The following are extracts from the Daily Reports :- 25.1.38 General flexibility and creaking from the scuttle. Wedge type catch of O.S.F. door sticks badly unless constantly lubricated. Visibility good, seats comfortable, windows wind freely. 2.2.38 Heavy thump from rear as before and general rattles. Creaking less than previously, fair amount of lift noticeable on doors on rough roads. Wide gaps at the bottom of both front doors allowing draught and wet to blow in. 3.2.38 Creaks in scuttle bad again. General creaks on corners, attributed to flexibility of coach-work. These are all the comments received to date, we will keep you informed as the test continues. There is no more information to hand re the doors on 26.G.VI.
