BY/SB.{Mr Bull/Mr Bannister}3/MG.19.4.39 (continued) - 2 - 3. If he had another chassis, did we advise a new body similar in type? I advised him not to have a Coupe but to choose a close coupled Saloon. Having got our views from a purely technical standpoint, he proposes to discuss the matter with you on Thursday, when he will be in Town. I think you will find he is favourably disposed to a part exchange deal, since he has paid for this car outright, and appears to have given up his original idea of an action against Owens. Also, he says he has had this car longer than he usually keeps them, and it is high time he had another anyway. This car is now, of course, a perfectly saleable proposition, and would satisfy most people who want a Coupé. In the meantime we are merely garaging the car at Derby until we hear what is to be done with it. BY/SB.{Mr Bull/Mr Bannister} | ||
