Re Chassis 9 G.III.

Re gears on first and third motion shafts.
I cannot make out from the drawing whether there should be any play between gear G.51553 and G.51552.

We have noticed a slackness between these two gears from .015 to .020". The drawing shows that the ball race Hoff. No. 335. the outer race to have from .003 to .013" clearance sideways, but this would not give clearance of gear wheels. We want to make sure of this as it may have something to do with the servo gear rattle, as the worm for driving servo is between these two gears.

We should be pleased if you would let us have this information as soon as possible.

G.W.Hancock.
