"STORK" PNEUMATIC BRAKES. X3836 X4561

We send herewith N. sch. 1337 shewing the diaphragm trip on the throttle control gear to give warning to the driver that the air pressure has fallen below a certain amount. The frame is of course the "Stork" frame and this calls for slight modifications in the dashboard, etc. The steering box is also in the "Stork" position. We wish to slightly modify the position of the pad carrying the central bracket on the control shaft, and as the crankcase is new in any case there does not seem to be any objection to this.

The diaphragm is intended to be the same as that shewn on the air pump inlet valve trip gear but as you have the original in Derby at the moment we are not able to verify the number of bolts and centres. Would Derby please put this in order if necessary?

We notice that on Lec 1415 the extra lubrication for the cylinders seems to foul the dashboard; presumably the control rod was bent in the models that have been fitted up. This is unaltered as far as we are concerned.

It will also be noticed that the pedal control rod is in a different position from standard. Particulars of the new pedals will follow immediately.
