BENTLEY V BUMPER CHASSIS.

The existing frame of the above chassis is to be scrapped. Will you therefore please strip it of all fittings, and revise the specification of the new chassis (the frame of which has arrived) as follows :-

Front Suspension.

Upper triangle levers.

Pressed steel lightened type on O.S. SCD.997
Lightened forgings N.S. if available FB.4333/4.

Yoke Rubber Bushes.

Silentbloc without rolled end on O.S. and with rolled end on N.S. to be supplied by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FWK.

Rebound buffers.

To be replaced with similar type as now fitted.

Lower lever bushes.

To be replaced if necessary after inspection of existing silentblocs.

Dampers.

New Alum casings as per instructions from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Clm.{D. D. Clapham}

Rear Suspension.

Springs.

Firths 7" deflection to be fitted on O.S. FB.4364.
Toledo Woodhead 7" deflection to be fitted on N.S. FB.4271. Later to be interleaved as per instructions
