CORRESPONDANTS A LONDRES NEW-YORK BERLIN TÉLÉPHONE ÉLYS. 05-60 ADRESSE TÉLÉGRAPH OTECOM - PARIS OMNIUM TECHNIQUE ET COMMERCIAL SOCIÉTÉ ANONYME AU CAPITAL DE 100000. FRANCS 7, RUE D'ARTOIS PARIS (VIIIe) R.C. SEINE 255 248 B D'A/JB Paris, July 27 1937. Rolls Royce Motor Works, Ltd. DERBY Angleterre. Attention: Mr. Robotham. Dear Sirs, Our firm is entrusted with the negotiation of the patent rights relative to Er. Bernard Salomon's devices known as Dynamic Dampers for the reduction of torsional and flexional vibrations in machine shafts and for the suppression of vibrations in these latter. We have already concluded agreements granting manufacturing licences in the following countries: France : to the Sté. des Moteurs Gnôme et Rh{R. Hollingworth}ône. U.S.A. : to the Wright Aeronautical Corporation. Germany : to the Faudi Co. of Kronberg, who in turn have granted a sub-licence to the Aviation Firm known as the Brandenburger Motor Werke or Bramo. Our Managing Director, Mr. D'Allemagne, being on the point of leaving to-night for England where he his carrying on negotiations for a non exclusive licence with one of the most important British aviation firms, would be extremely happy to take this opportunity for exchanging views with your kind selves on that subject. We presume that your technical departments are fully acquainted with the question of dynamic dampers, but we wish nevertheless to bring to your notice that the Bernard Salomon patents entirely cover the field of dynamic dampers based upon the principle of absolutely free masses, which constitutes the only practical method known. May we remind you that one of our partners, Mr. Rubissow, has had the opportunity of mentioning the question to you several moths ago. However, at the time we had not yet concluded any of the agreements mentioned above. Would you have the kindness to let Mr. D'Allemagne known, Poste Restante, Bristol, at your earliest convenience whether he can come up to Derby for an interview with you, and if so which day and time would be most agreeable to you. Mr. D'Allemagne will remain in Bristol till Thursday ./. | ||
