-3- Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}15/N.29.12.38 Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} Axle. Noisy after sustained run at 80 M.P.H. Steering. Joggling of small amplitude on steering wheel. This was irritating and spoilt an otherwise excellent steering. We believe it may have been due to uneven wear of nearside front tyre. Unfortunately we were unable to check this after new tyres were fitted, owing to adverse weather conditions. Brakes. Slight squeaks. Hand brake ratchet guard damaged by stones. Suspension. Ride good. Excessive amount of radiator and headlamp movement on secondary roads. Car Heater. Circulating fan entirely out of action at end of run. Whilst we are of the opinion that the heater is not sufficiently effective, it would be unfair to condemn it, as there is some doubt as to whether the fan was working 100% at any time during the trip. Electrical. Suggest positive earth return for side and tail lamps. Coachwork. Doors rattle badly, particularly nearside front and offside rear. Dust, exhaust fumes and snow get into the body which is very draughty. Principal places of ingress are lower edges of doors. Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} HR | ||
