Dear Minchin,

Thank you for your letter of the 19th. April. If I am at the Works on Monday 29th I will be very glad to have lunch with you but it is more than probable that I will be away as I have got to have a short holiday.

Grylls however, will be delighted to lunch with you. I have passed your letter on to Elliott, who will reserve some time for you during the afternoon.

You will probably be glad to hear that we are devoting quite a lot of energy to motor cars, some of them of quite diminutive dimensions.
