To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} 1020 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}4/AP.11.2.37. BENTLEY BEARINGS. Will you please instruct for 14 die castings in std. A.C.7. and 14 in A.C.6.S. to be cast from the die (B.16514) which has been made specially for the rear main bearing. This being the largest bearing, however, we can make the other bearings out of the same casting, hence from the above you will be able to produce 2 sets of complete bearings from each material. We should like a record of the weight of material as turned out of the die in order to estimate what material saving there would be if these ran successfully.
