ROY{Sir Henry Royce}/Ms. c. BY/HEB.{H. Biraben} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} x346 BY6/W.21.4.36. "Phantom III". Road Springs. I was instructed at the last Conference on chassis to obtain a reliable quotation for the production of the large eye for the rubber bush in the solid forged type of spring, as the Conference were strongly inclined to the opinion that it was necessary for us to adopt the solid forged scheme. Would you, therefore, be good enough to urge this matter by calling for quotations on production lines for the spring plates in question for say, 200 sets of springs. In the meantime, we have experimentally instructed both the solid forged and the rolled eye type for this form of spring, using the rubber bush. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} By | ||
