Rml/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 262 7th April, 1938. E.R. Hall, Esq., 53, Berkeley Court, LONDON. N.W.1. Dear Hall, We are going very well with your engine unit, and expect to have it finished within the next few days. You will remember that when we were talking about the engine unit before Christmas, I mentioned that we might be able to let you have it for about £100, which is considerably less than half the retail cost. I have got Mr. Hives to agree to this figure, and shall be glad to have your confirmation that this meets with your approval. There is a point in connection with the electrical equipment. If we send you the engine with no form of switchboard, you may have a certain amount of trouble rigging up the necessary electrical connections, especially as the dynamo is of the voltage control type. Would you like us to rig up a small switchboard for you containing a starter switch, voltage regulator, ignition switch and battery terminals ? These pieces, of course, are not part of the engine, and I suggest that if we do the job we ask you to pay cost. Will you please let us know what you want doing. When we have finished the unit, to what address would you like it sending? Yours sincerely, | ||
