H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} R.{Sir Henry Royce} 235 s (200 T) (S.F. 103, 25-10-18) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2244. To C. from EH. EH2/LG28.1.19. 28th. Jan. 1919. X 3500 RE - "DELAGE" CAR. We find that the "Delage" Car is a proper bunch of trouble. We have lifted the cylinders off and find that one of the big end bearings has gone and the others are in very bad condition. It will mean that we shall have to fit new bearings and new piston rings before the engine is fit to run. We are very disappointed with the whole car; it is a nasty heavy brute. In future we should like, if possible, when you are buying a car for Experimental purposes, to have the opportunity of seeing it ourselves. EH. | ||
