To By/Ald.{F. Allwood - Experimental Design} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale} c. By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. De. 406 BRAKE SHOES - REVISED PROGRAMME. The T section steel shoe designed for B.III and 50 is our choice of section for all new cars. To reduce tool costs we want to adhere to one section. Will you please investigate the possibility of using this section with a 4 shoe brake, it would appear possible to use it if the normal carrier shoe were split. This would also cheapen the latter. Will you also see if it is possible to use our anti-wrapping link on a 4 shoe brake so designed, using a Girling expander. Rough schemes only are necessary: nothing to be instructed.
