Coverley - Production Engineer}/FB YOUR REF DATE 2/5/38 COLLIER'S CORNER SOUTH YARDLEY BIRMINGHAM L. Swindall Esq., Experimental Department, Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY. Dear Sir, I would like to advise you that we have now in process of formation a company to handle the Sole Concession for the Luber-Finer Oil Refiner for the whole of this country. I very much regret the unsatisfactory experience you had with the model 185 unit which we sent to you for test. Unfortunately this was fitted with a pack that was unsatisfactory, and we have ascertained that through an oversight a number of these packs came to this country, and have now been entirely replaced. I have a demonstration set here which I would very much like to have the opportunity of showing you, and would like to run over to see you, bringing also one of the latest models which we should appreciate it immensely if you would put under test. We know that your experience with this would be entirely different from that you had with the first test. I quite appreciate that your time is fully occupied, but I do suggest to you that this oil refiner is something entirely different from anything else on the market. With the exception of your particular case, we have had no single failure with the type that we wish you to try. Would it be possible for you to give me an appointment to run over and see you, both to demonstrate and to discuss the possibilities of this unit? Yours faithfully, R.{Sir Henry Royce} H.{Arthur M.
