Morris.

As soon as we have established that the aluminium head is the main cause of the trouble due to the increased in electrolytic action which it promotes it appears to hasten corrosion, we think that it is worth considering whether any basic alteration in the design of our present radiator is necessary to cope with the conditions brought about by the introduction of aluminium cylinder heads.

Incidentally, however, tests we have been carrying out on the small tubes i.e. 6/5¼ m.m. indicate that we shall definately loose some cooling efficiency at maximum speed 3° drop in critical atmospheric temperature, though there will be no difference for hill climbing at moderate road speeds. Therefore we have no alternative at present but to use these tubes.
