To EJJ. x3269 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Smth.10/KW.4.7.34. Blower Rig in No. 17 Test House. Following our memo. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Std.5/KW.29.12.33, you made us a rig for air flow tests on aero cylinder heads. We wish to rebuild the rig to test the Bentley Single Cylinder heads EB.1517 and LeC.3739, and the aero heads E.42879, EX.14463 and E.43072. This will entail the construction of induction pipes provided with thermometer pockets as in the previous cases, and dummy cylinders of 3 1/4" bore for the Bentley heads and 5" for the aero, and of a height which will suit the existing pipework. We hope to have the blower rig clear of other experiments in the course of a day or two and are anxious to get on with these tests with as little delay as possible.
