RR 238 (300 Bks.) (SF 152. 6-11-18.) MP 197880 X. 4079a ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. INSTRUCTIONS. To E.F.C. Order No P.B.48 Customer's No. X 4079a Date Sept 11th 1922 Test of Production Coil G.G. 9. This coil was returned by the test dept, as being faulty. It was handed over by us for fitting to a Gor II about 22.8.22., after having been put through the first two of the production tests, i.e. tests for continuity and short circuited turns of the windings. It still appears to be O.K. on these tests. The coil has been run on eight volts, first with a standard ballast dropping about 2.57 volts, and then with a production ballast dropping about 3.62 volts, and compared with a standard B coil run under the same conditions. From the results given below it will be seen that the coil is certainly weak. Signed Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
