X.2871 - RE EAGLE IGNITION WIRE TUBE CLIPS AND PRIMER
X.3090 CONNECTION

With reference to scheme No.219 we note that it was printed on the 16th of May but reached Mr. Royce something over a week ago.

This scheme has come through to me, and I have suggested what I think is a more secure way of holding the ignition wire tube on the induction pipes. This has been approved by Mr. Royce and is shown on LeC.822 attached. I have also shown a different way of attaching the primer connection which Mr. Royce desired. The clip for the existing double ignition wire tube is larger than the clips for the wire tube LeC.723 and required a greater distance between the holding studs.

The lead pipes running from the primer pump connection to each individual induction pipe are not shown but I hope to send these later. They will be taken from a distributor box which will be fixed either to the ignition tube with a clip, or to the crankcase lower down.

There are one or two notes on the drawing of interest to youself, relating to matters which require a certain amount of judgement for which we have not the full information or opportunity here.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
