Revised Phantom III water pump scheme, its benefits, and the need for endurance testing.

This pump should give more water flow than the standard pump, should give much better bearing and gland life and should be cheaper to manufacture. In view of the fact that we shall shortly have a water pump rig running for very long periods we think that a pump to the above scheme should be detailed and made fairly quickly so that we can get it on endurance on this rig. .Glands of the above type have been run on LPTB. oil and petrol fuses for the past six years without any breakage trouble.
