Referring to the attached, as the Board leave the Administration to settle the question of dates for deliveries, I do not propose to bring this memorandum before the Board but I am very anxious that it should remain as a permanent record for the guidance of the administration in the future.

I am, therefore sending a copy to you, to BJ. to C. and am keeping a copy myself and am asking JS.{Mr Johnson's Secretary} to put it amongst the quarterly notes with a question which should be asked of you, of BJ., of C. and myself as follows :
Are we contemplating introducing new chassis or important modifications in chassis? If so, have we taken into consideration the memo. of the 7th. April CJ3/E7.4.25, which was specially drawn up to show what our experience has been as to the period between the date at which a modification is placed on the road and the date at which chassis having the modification are delivered to sales.
