X206 To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Copy to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} B. re Bentley Brakes. Referring to Cx{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}16/KW11.1.34 it certainly rather looks as if we should have to be satisfied with the rather less braking efficiency when using the Ferodo lining rather than the higher efficiency with the AMR lining with the complete absence of braking under the conditions referred to and when the car has been through water. But without knowing what normal loss of braking efficiency there is with the Ferodo, it is rather difficult to judge and doubtless we shall be having views on this subject, but in view of the fact that chassis are already at the coachbuilders, the matter is urgent if any change of lining has to be made. When I had the car out at Christmas I did not suffer from this trouble because the weather was dry and I never had the car washed, Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} | ||
