Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}10/H10.2.30. re. Schrader Tyre Pump Gauges. We find the present gauge supplied cannot be used for testing tyre pressures when discs are fitted to the wheels. This can be overcome by the Schrader gauge being made so that the face for connection to the tyre valve is made at an angle of the body to the gauge, this angle being about 45°. We suggest that future gauges obtained should be made at this angle, as it will also be better when testing tyre pressures even when discs are not fitted. In the meantime we must be prepared to supply a gauge of the above type to customers whose cars are fitted with disc wheels. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} | ||
