To Wer. from Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} X5690 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} " HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} " BP. " BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} RECEIVED JAN 7 1927 Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}3/W7.1.27. Re Fitting of improved type Side Steering Tube on 20HP. type Chassis. MR. Capel has made the following suggestion re the above for the extra cost - approximately 2 bonus hours. It would appear to be a very good suggestion : "May I please suggest for your consideration that when the above changeover is being carried out on Customers' 20HP. cars, opportunity should be taken to at the same time carry out the modification of extra ventilation to the Distributor Platinum Points, viz : To drill - (1). A .250 hole in the Distributor Base. (2). Two .125 holes in the Distributor Head. as shewn on drawing R.1789. To enable a fitter to execute this work I suggest the ventilation hole in the Distributor Base be drilled in such a position as will not involve the dismantling of any of the Distributor parts. At present 2 bonus hours are occupied in this work, but by drilling the ventilation hole in a slightly different position without doubt the present bonus time could be curtailed. (Signed) J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Capel." Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} | ||
