20/25 Dynamos of Improved Construction
Two machines in connection with the above have now been received. They differ in detail but the main features comprise the use of a steel carcase equal in length to the active part of the machine only, the remainder being made up by extensions to the aluminium end-plates. The brush gear is carried on a plate at the outer end of the commutator, and the main terminals are extensions of the brush holder bolts.
The first machine was made up from S.24.IO and after a run on the bench has been taken to W.W. There was not time to take an output curve but the performance appeared to be normal for this type of machine.
