Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} +5300 To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re 21-G-IV. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}8/E22.2.35 Copy to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}E.BY. With reference to the above car which is in London for traffic tests in connection with the clutch in particular, whilst everybody seems to be pleased with the steering which we decided to standardise as soon as possible, the same remarks do not at present apply to the clutch. I thought I would let you know at once as it rather looks as if we shall not be wanting to standardise it. Although said to have been good when it first came up, it is now reported to jagger rather badly when starting from second, but we will let you know more about it after it has run further. At present it is said not to be as good as standard in this respect. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} | ||
