-2- RHC {R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} /EG.1/DB. {Donald Bastow - Suspensions} 27.5.37. PHANTOM 111 MATRIX. (1) Gauge has been produced .053" x 1.000", is this in accordance with Steadman's requirements? if so, all matrix of Mark Vl. {V. Lewis / Mr Valentine} type will be produced to pass this gauge. (2) A flow test figure should be agreed to by us for this matrix, to enable Marstons to pass matrix before despatch. (3) All matrix are to be produced to whatever limits are agreed to and passed by their Inspector before despatch and bear inspection mark. (4) I stressed the importance of adhering to whatever limits are agreed to, because it should not be necessary for us to inspect each matrix upon receipt of same at Derby. Mr. Dunn expressed the wish that he would like us to pay him a visit in approximately one week's time, when he has had an opportunity to check up the job, and obtained practical information as to what limits can be worked to.
