(3) We have never heard a squeak when obtaining a friction-speed curve.

We possibly have a slight advantage over you here, because we only examine linings with which we have been acquainted for tens of thousands of miles on the road on several cars, and the behaviour of which we thoroughly understand. The object of the test is, of course, to invest the process when it is proven.
