MANCHESTER 9.

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of the 6th, ref. AK/MB, submitting your blue print L.690.

With our alteration which we have marked on your print, your centre will fit our clutch. We should be glad therefore if you would make up for us one such centre and are asking our Order Office to send you an official order.

We should like to know what you consider to be the merit of the cork inserts and whether their life is in any way comparable with a bonded asbestos lining. On the sample clutch we have here the corks do not stand proud of the linings.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
