Proposal for the arrangement of oil cooling elements behind the main water radiator.

- 2 - E.7/HP.11.5.33. ------------- necessary we shall arrange the oil cooling elements one behind the other, the hot oil passing up the rear elements and then down the front one, in which case less of the normal water radiator matrix would be deleted. It will be understood of course that the radiator shutters obscure the front of the radiator so that the divided matrix cannot be seen. One of the advantages of having the oil cooler in this position is that it is automatically cut out of action by the radiator shutters when the engine is cold.
