362. S/W. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} LE21/C/1.1.37. Re Chassis No. 3.AZ.164. When we tested this car we found the clutch jaggered badly. As you are aware, one of the latest type plates was fitted into this car whilst it was at the Works last week. When the clutch was dismantled at N. I got them to very carefully check the finger setting on their plate and they found that there was a variation in the setting of these fingers. On examining the plate it was found that one side appeared to be much harder and to have got rather hot so they fitted a new plate and set the fingers correctly and the clutch is now O.K. J.L.E. | ||
