Ballast resistance off chassis 101.UF.
We have examined this ballast resistance in the lab and find it to be quite OK but of the old single type with a cold resistance of .84 ohms as against the present standard ballast of 1.50 ohms.
This would certainly help, combined with other abnormal conditions, to produce the primary charring of the coil from this chassis.
We will replace this ballast with a 1 1/4 type present std ballast we have in the lab.

Signed: R.E.W.
This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work.
