With reference to DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}5/M5.6.28. Our experience so far on the Hypoid rear axle has been very satisfactory.
We hope to return 14-EX car to WW. in the near future fitted with this axle.

We understand there is some question as to the wing clearance allowed on coachbuilders drawings, and the amount the axle penetrates into the buffer on maximum bump.

We are going into the whole of this matter as we have taken some tests and will let you have our recommendations in due course.
