| R.F.S./C. 22nd March, 1938. Messrs. Bentley Motors (1931) Ltd., 16, Conduit Street, LONDON. W. 1. Dear Sirs, I thank you for your letter of the 21st March. You do not make it clear that you have definitely booked an order for a Bentley as soon as there is any drastic alteration in the design. The existing model is rapidly becoming out of date, and does not compare favourably with several makes of cars which are now available at considerably lower prices. I should be glad if you would confirm that a record has actually been made that I require a chassis reserved when it has been modified and brought up to date. I am anxious that this should be done so that when this highly desirable state of affairs does come about I shall be able to receive one of the first chassis to leave the works. Yours faithfully, (Signed) RICHARD F.{Mr Friese} SUMMERS. | ||
