EXPERIMENTAL MODIFIED EXHAUST MANIFOLDS.

Thank you for your Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}/VA17/GM30.12.31.

We should be glad if in your future reports you include the type of manifold fitted to the chassis, and if possible the mileage covered, up to the date of the report.

We note that only one 20 HP. car, GA-62 has so far been fitted with an improved manifold; now that we have decided that all cars having cracked manifolds are to be replaced with malleable iron, in the case of P.I. and the cooling fin type manifold in the case of the small car, we should like you to fit the sliding joint type in preference to the cooling fin type, to any special 20 HP. car which does big mileage.

With reference to your request for a further set of sliding joint manifolds for M.Dubonnet's car, we are despatching these today. If you know of any other cars to which they can be fitted, we will gladly let you have more manifolds.

Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}
