re. Modified Steering for Existing 20-HP. Cars.

With reference to Standardisation Sheet No. X.5430, completed 14.9.26. we shall be glad to know what prospects there are of any of the new worms and nuts which constitute this modification being available for dealing with complaints, and what action, if any, it is proposed should be taken of advising the Depots of this modification.

I understand from Sales Dept. that there are several chassis despatched, which now have the bodies fitted on which they are anxious to incorporate this modification. As a matter of fact, they have already mentioned two cases of very important customers who are complaining of the 20-HP. steering and to whom promises have been made that some improvement will be effected in this respect. I should like to be in a position to inform them what is the very best that can be done by the Works to supply the material and instructions for carrying this out, also whether it is necessary for the cars to come to the Works for this to be done or whether it can be done at Depots, if so, can Depot Sheet be issued .
