The question of petrol leakage from the cork joints of the petrol gauge tank unit is already in the hands of the D.O.

With reference to the A.C. sparking plugs set at .050", there was direct sparking on occasions from the terminal to the body of the plug, the length of the gap being .81". The corresponding distance on the K.L.G. 850 plug is .62", so we do not think the length of the plug is the cause. With the K.L.G. plugs set at .035" no external sparking occurred, but a blue discharge was visible through the mica insulator at night. With the A.C. plugs there was a halo of blue light where the insulator enters the body of the plug, and a general glow at each terminal. These were also only visible at night.
