Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr. H.E. West

We have to thank you for your letter of the 14th inst. under reference Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.ll/MA., in reply to which we have to inform you that our American Company does not manufacture Aircraft Radio apparatus, nor, so far as we are aware, has it any intention of so doing.

It may, however, be of value to you to know that the apparatus is manufactured in America by the R.C.A. Victor Company, Camden, New Jersey, and enquiries should be addressed to the Aircraft Division, and by Lear Developments Inc. of New York City.

It may be of interest to you to know that the latter Company supplied the radio set which was fitted to the Boeing Transport Machine which was third in the England-Australia Race, and that the radio set gave uninterrupted service during the whole of that journey, and, we are informed, was largely responsible for the pilot being able to ascertain his whereabouts on two occasions after he had lost his way.

We trust this information will be of value to you.

Yours faithfully,
PHILCO RADIO & TELEVISION CORPORATION OF
GREAT BRITAIN LIMITED.
