ZENITH PETROL FILTER.

While we were running 10-G-111 in France we twice had to clear the Zenith petrol filter. The blocking up of this filter seemed to occur whenever we ran on the reserve and so drew sediment from the bottom of the tank. In spite of this filter, we several times were definitely under the impression that the carburation of the car was unsatisfactory due to foreign matter in the jets but these seemed to clear themselves with continued running.

We are particular anxious to know whether foreign matter does pass the Zenith filter and reach the jets so that if this trouble should re-occur we consider that it would be of great value if the jets could be extracted and examination made to the cones and seating.

We consider it would be worth while running to the bottom of the tank to produce this result.
