CENTRE-LOCK DETACHABLE WIRE WHEELS.

IMPORTANT.

On no account run with a hub cap untightened as this will cause irreparable damage to hub.

To enable caps to be thoroughly tightened with spanner and hammer provided, engaging conical surfaces, serrations and screw threads must be quite clean and lubricated with grease.

Always jack up wheel when cap is being tightened.

EVERY 2,500 MILES jack up each wheel in turn and well tighten cap with spanner and hammer.

EVERY 5,000 MILES remove each wheel, carefully clean and grease serrations, conical surfaces and screw threads and tighten as before.

AFTER A FORCED CHANGE OF WHEEL on the road, the latter procedure should be adopted as soon as convenient.

GENERAL.
To tighten, always hammer spanner with special hammer provided.
Lift car on jack before tightening.
Rigorously avoid rust and dirt.
