Dear Mr. Callingham,

Thank you for your letter of the 29th October.

With reference to the E.P. lubricant that you mention, we have not run this on any of our cars as yet and therefore cannot put it in the Instruction Book.

We have had several very unfortunate experiences with E.P. lubricants generally, largely due to the high temperatures attained by axle and gearbox during high speed runs on the Continent, and therefore feel a similar test is necessary on any E.P. oil which we are going to recommend. At the moment we cannot say when we shall be in a position to test this oil.

Yours sincerely,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
