13th November, 1935.

Messrs. Norton Motors Ltd.,
Bracebridge Street,
Birmingham 6.

For the attention of Mr. Skinner.

Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your letter of October 30th.

As far as we can recollect when we last came over to see you we said that we should be only too glad to interchange information. At the time we were interested in maximum power output but there did not appear to be any particular development where we could be of assistance to you.

Since it would now appear that an interchange of ideas would be to our mutual advantage, we should like to know whether you would be prepared to sell us one of your racing units for our single cylinder tests, as was originally suggested, and if this can be arranged we should be happy to discuss the silencing problem with you.

Possibly you would like to send a representative over here to discuss the whole question, in which case the latter part of next week would suit us.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
