X4351. CHASSIS - CORROSION OF CARBURETTER FLOATS.
RECEIVED
In connection with the suggestion we made that we should try nickel plating our Floats, I have now obtained a report from Mr Hall, reference H15/EB22321, in which he points out that Floats so treated are satisfactory. It appears to me that it is very desirable to adopt the nickel plating of Floats as quickly as possible, particularly in view of the fact that we have had certain Floats in France and America which have corroded very rapidly and caused failure.
No doubt Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, will now take this matter up and make some recommendations on the subject.
