x5060. from Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} Mxx6/T31.8.32. Valve Springs 20/25HP. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RmZ/AD15.7.32. E7/HP19.7.32. We have tried a number of the Valve Springs HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}477 (E58525) and we find they are a very definite benefit in overcoming a rattle which occurs at about 17/18 m.p.h. This rattle is not affected by the brake. We do not find the use of these springs prevents us attaining a speed of 60 m.p.h. on third gear. Our experience has been confirmed in the Repair Dept. where they have used these springs to a very definite advantage on two cars which have been complained of by customers. (Handwritten) Mr would like a standardisation sheet issued for these | ||
