re Phantom III Clutch Plate.

It is probable that a Thermoid faced plate with cushion springs will become standard on production in the near future. This type of plate is much more susceptible to damage in transit and subsequent handling than the more robust type of plate now used.

We therefore take this opportunity of asking all departments both in unpacking and subsequent handling, to exercise the greatest care to avoid the risk of the facings being bruised or damaged in any way. We are writing Borg & Beck on the same lines, especially with reference to packing for transit.
